While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
- Associate's degree in a related field or four or more years aircraft maintenance experience. USAF aircraft structural maintenance experience.
- Four years directly relevant experience in US Air Force of corrosion control materials and corrosion control equipment.
- Experience processing corrosion and coatings specimens in accordance with test plans.
- Experience mixing and spraying common military aircraft coating systems.
- Extensive familiarity with applicable aerospace structural materials, corrosion and coatings test specifications, and military/commercial standards.
- Extensive familiarity with USAF technical orders 1-1-8, 1-1-691, 35-1-3. Have aircraft corrosion control experience on USAF aircraft and support equipment.
- Extensive knowledge of USAF organizational, intermediate, and depot corrosion and coating operations.
- Support program experience preferred (safety, haz-mat, haz-waste, RPP, etc.).
