Department of Emergency Medicine Emergency Medicine Assistant/Associate Professor/Clinical (Nocturnist)

This position is to work night shifts in the Emergency Department

Responsibilities:
The UConn Health Emergency Department at John Dempsey Hospital is seeking a full time Emergency Physician.

This position will provide Emergency Medicine Physician services in the John Dempsey Hospital Emergency Department (ED), including clinical care for patients presenting to the ED, bedside teaching of rotating residents and medical students and supervision of advanced practice professionals.

Requirements:

• FACEP board certified.

• Residency trained in Emergency Medicine.

• Skilled in adult and pediatric cardio-respiratory resuscitation, emergency airway techniques, resuscitation, and evaluation of all patient types.

• Committed to high patient satisfaction.

• Excellent bedside clinical educator.

• CT MD License.

• Interpersonal skills, work ethic and team player.

• Fellowship training preferred.

• Strong interest in education, with experience working with medical students, residents, and fellows.

Preferred Experience/skills:

• Fellowship or other post residency training.

• 5 years of post-residency practice experience
