Responsibilities
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Loading, Unloading and Warehouse
- Review unit or department orders for accuracy and scheduling of deliveries
- Load goods, materials, and equipment onto trucks and vehicles, secure items in vehicles and follow all safe driving rules and standards.
- Deliver goods or materials to both on and off campus event spaces and units as scheduled and dependent on business need
- Unload truck or vehicles at event spaces and units and assure that authorized personnel receive and sign for the delivery
- Ensure that all delivered goods, materials, or equipment are handled safely and properly to ensure quality and safety protocols.
- Ensure items are taken to designated storage or event areas
- Maintain a daily travel log summary to be provided to supervisor
- Deliver special function goods such as equipment, tents, cabinets, grills, water stations and/or other items as needed
- Clean and maintain storage and warehouse areas
- Maintain proper fluid levels, tire pressure in the truck
- Monitor fleet vehicles, lift gates, dock equipment, pallet jacks, refrigerated storage and other equipment as needed daily for safe operation
- Report to supervisor if repairs are needed
- Ensure all fleet vehicles are clean and orderly
- Keep all loading dock and parking lot clean and orderly
- Assists other department operations as necessary and based upon business need.
- The annual salary range for this position is $46,128-$48,909.

What We Require
- Two years of experience which includes warehousing, handling, shipping, receiving, storing, inventory, and/or distribution of goods.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain commercial motor vehicle (CMV) license and successful completion of University of Colorado's Safety Training Program within 90 days of employment to operate vehicles essential to the position.
- Must obtain food safety certification appropriate for the position level within 6 months of hire and maintain certification for the duration of CDH.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and safety.
- Active food safety certification.
- Current CMV certification.
- A thorough understanding of the flow of food from purchasing to ready-to-prepare state.
- Knows and can recite proper receiving temperatures as well as appropriate storage areas for goods and products.
- Can prioritize delivery activities to ensure that proper product temperatures are maintained.
- Previous Equipment Operator 1 experience.
- Experience with C-Bord/FSS doing Inventory, Transfer Requisition and helping Dining and Retail units with out of stocks through Sysco.
