Special Collections and the Children's Literature Festival is looking for an inventive, artistic and computer-savvy student who will create and assemble materials for special collections displays and assist with preparation for the festival in early March. - Duties include: assisting in finding books, creating signage, and putting up displays
- Assisting in Special Collections projects such as digitization and inventory
- Creating promotional material such as flyers and buttons
- Proofreading materials
- Prepping materials and spaces for the Children's Literature Festival
Typical Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or GED.
Experience:
- Customer service experience required. Previous library experience preferred, but not required.
- Special skills required: Attention to detail is essential along with the ability to proofread (detect errors in spelling, grammar, formatting, etc.); and good keyboarding skills.
- Requires strong computer background; ability to find library materials on the shelves; to work well with others; reliability; and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Physical abilities: lift up to 40 lbs. and be able to move book carts up to 50 lbs.

- Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm and must be available during the first weekend of Spring Break and through to Wednesday
