JOB SUMMARY

The Senior IR Technologist advanced responsibilities can include, yet are not limited to the following:    

• Demonstrate competency actively and participate in the lead/coordinator role.    
• Active participation in an annual performance improvement project or active participation in IR 
• Quality Assurance/Radiation Safety meetings.    
• Demonstrate competency and the ability to instruct one or more of the advanced procedures.    

Qualifications - REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum 3-6  years  of IR experience.  - Previous experience in healthcare  environment required (minimum 3-5 years).  - Graduate of a formal radiology technology-training program in an AMA approved school.  - Flexibility in scheduling, with the ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays. Must be willing to assist at any of the UCSF Medical Center Locations - Must be willing to learn and train in Neuro-IR and Body-IR - Must be willing to circulate and fill scrubbing roles during procedures as necessary - Ability to self direct and organize a varied workload REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS - ARRT Licensure   - CRT Licensure  - BLS (CPR) Certification  - VIR Certification within 1 year of hire PREFERRED QUALIFICATION - Prefer recent work experience in an acute care setting  - Prefer  VIR  Certification  or obtained  within 1 year of hire  License / Certification Radiology, Radiology, Diagnos/Intervent About UCSF The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is a leading university dedicated to promoting health worldwide through advanced biomedical research, graduate-level education in the life sciences and health professions, and excellence in patient care.
