**Candidates with strong, specific Project Management experience with academia and Ed-tech highly encouraged to apply. **This is a full-time, limited appointment scheduled to end one year from the date of hire. The Multitudes Project Manager will serve as a key operational leader for UCSF's statewide initiative focused on early literacy and dyslexia screening, bridging neuroscience and public education. This full-time, fixed-term role (with potential for renewal) is responsible for managing complex project planning, coordinating across functional areas, and implementing technical solutions in partnership with the California Department of Education, UC campuses, public schools, and technology vendors.


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's in relevant field such as education, neuroscience, public health, or public policy. Minimum three years managing operations or programs in research, education, healthcare, or technology settings and minimum three years of experience r equivalent combination of experience/educationAt least 2 years working with technical teams (developers, product managers, data engineers).Proven experience managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders across institutions or public-sector agencies.Skilled in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, Smartsheet) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, GitHub).Experience managing budgets and vendor contracts.Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Comfortable leading and actively participating in meetings, including agenda creation, recaps, and follow-up.Ability to work independently and manage priorities in fast-paced, high-growth environments.Professionalism and enthusiasm for collaborating with a diverse team.Fluency in English.


Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or PhD in in relevant fields such as education, neuroscience, public health, or public policy.Certifications like Project Management Professional (PMP) Experience in K-12 or higher education, education policy, and/or educational technology.Knowledge of accessibility compliance (e.g., WCAG), data privacy, and education interoperability standards (e.g., Ed-Fi, 1EdTech).Experience managing programs funded by government grants or philanthropic foundations.Familiarity with dyslexia, learning differences, and/or neurodiversity in educational contexts.Prior experience working across UC campuses or large academic institutions.

Salary Information

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
