Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $87,900 - $187,700 (Annual Rate).

Department Description
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
- 8 years relevant progressive experience
- Thorough knowledge of the purchasing function
- Strong supervisory skills required to lead purchasing group in department ensuring adherence to purchasing practices and guideline
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills required in interacting with both internal and external resources
- Strong analytical skills necessary to evaluate the cost effectiveness of purchasing options and planning for major commodities
- Advanced knowledge of procurement policies, the organization's departments and operations, and Federal Acquisition Regulations
- Ability to read, interpret, develop and negotiate terms and conditions of contracts
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification preferred
- CPSM
