What are the responsibilities and job description for the LVN Dermatology Clinic position at University of California - San Francisco?
Required qualifications:
Two (2) years of related healthcare experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a dermatology environment or 2 years of experience in a surgical environment
Familiarity with the process of prior authorizations to obtain specialty biologic medications.
- Must have worked in a medical team consisting of several providers and an administrative assistant, knowing in-basket management, assisting with medication refills, coordinating services, and scheduling appointments and procedures
- Ability to prioritize work efficiently and independently, demonstrating strong self-initiative.
- Demonstrated ability to provide highly personalized patient care
- Demonstrated ability to work as an integral part of a patient care team.
- Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to administer immunizations to adult patients
- Ability to meet physical requirements identified below.
- Proficient in APEX.
Demonstrated knowledge with Windows-based software including Microsoft word, Excel, Outlook.
This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations
Preferred qualifications:
- Phlebotomy certificate
2 to 3 years of dermatology experience
License/Certificate:
- Active Licensed Vocational Nurse licensure in the State of California
- Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
