Position Description

Instructor/Assistant/Associate/Full Professor – Rhinologist and Sinus/Skull Base Surgeon

The University of California, San Francisco Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery is seeking a full-time academic Rhinologist and Sinus/Skull Base Surgeon to join our faculty. This position is available at the rank of Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The selected candidate will build a robust practice in all aspects of head and neck surgery at a world-class quaternary care center serving the greater Bay Area and California. Research and scholarly activity is a hallmark of UCSF, and support for clinical or basic science research may be available.

Required Qualifications

  • MD or equivalent degree
  • Completion of an accredited residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery -Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery
  • Have or be eligible for a California medical license by the start date
  • Applicant’s materials must list pending qualifications upon submission

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong commitment to clinical practice, scholarly activity, and resident education
  • Fellowship training in Rhinology, Sinus and Skull Base Surgery

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5 . The minimum base salary range for this position is $134,500 - $405,900. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
