What are the responsibilities and job description for the CATS Behavioral Health Clinician position at University of California - San Francisco?
Involves patient care services for a range of mental health disorders, often severe including major depressive disorders, paranoia, schizophrenia, or bipolar disorder. Settings may be inpatient, outpatient or clinical research studies. Patient care may be provided by a combination of licensed clinicians, as well as counselors and crisis intervention specialists. Patients typically require routine assistance, treatment or a specialized and controlled environment. Primary emphasis on treatment and attempt where possible to help patients control their own lives in the outside world, with the use of a combination of psychiatric drugs and psychotherapy.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in related area and 3 years related work experience; and/or equivalent experience.
- Licensed as Clinical Social Worker, Marriage Family Therapist, or Clinical Psychologist
- 3 years of related work experience
- Strong skills in providing individual and group behavioral therapy, behavioral analysis and / or educational interventions.
- Strong knowledge of applicable laws and ethical standards associated with profession.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication. Demonstrated active listening, persuasion and counseling skills.
- Strong skills in collaborating with heath care providers, PIs and community partners.
- Knowledge of business software, specialized applications and EHR systems used in behavioral health clinics / clinical departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Spanish language preferred
License/Certification :
- Licensed as Clinical Social Worker, Marriage Family Therapist, or Clinical Psychologist
