Job Summary
The goal of all EVS Aides is to provide a clean, comfortable and sanitary environment for patients, visitors and hospital staff, by following the EVS Seven-Step Cleaning methods. EVS Aides are expected to provide fast, efficient and high quality service to all patients, visitors, co-workers and other hospital staff.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $25.62 - $34.53 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- High degree of pulling, pushing, twisting, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, walking, standing and lifting.
- Strength (life up to 50 lbs.) and mobility essential.
- Normal vision and hearing acuity; ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Strong people skills
- Exposure to cleaning agent, water, dust, blood and human body fluids.
- Ability to move beds, isolates, cribs and ohio tables weighing up to 350 lbs.
- Ability to handle all EVS equipment to include floor machines, wet mop, mop buckets, custodial carts, dust mops and vacuums.
