What are the responsibilities and job description for the TRIO Scholars Retention Specialist position at University of California, Riverside and Careers?
The TRIO Scholars program at UC Riverside is a TRIO Student Support Services project federally funded by the U.S. Department of Education. TRIO Scholars staff work with approximately 140 UCR undergraduates who are first-generation, income-qualified students, and students with disabilities. Under the supervision of the TRIO Scholars Assistant Director, the Retention Specialist will provide program support to increase the retention and graduation rates of program participants, including advising, programming, data entry and assessment. This grant is in year three of a five-year grant and subject to continued funding. The full salary range for the TRIO Scholars Retention Specialist is $22.65 - $37.60 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $22.75 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
