The Financial & Administrative Officer (FAO) provides leadership in the management of financial, personnel, student affairs, administrative, and research support for the BMP Administrative Unit, which consists of the Biochemistry, Microbiology & Plant Pathology Departments, as well as, the Graduate Programs in Microbiology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Plant Pathology. The management functions are highly complex and diverse based on the following: Permanent combined state budgets of about 15M, comprised of Instruction & Research, Organized Research and the Agricultural Experiment Station, and Cooperative Extension funds. The BMP Administrative Department supports almost 60 faculty and emeritus who submit over 150 proposals annually which contributes to the 675 funds managed. The full salary range for the Financial & Administrative Officer is $103,100 - $196,300 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $103,100 - $149,700 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
