Reporting to the Director of Employee and Labor Relations, the Employee Relations Representative is an experienced professional who knows how to apply theory and put it into practice with in-depth understanding of the Employee Relations field. This role will provide support related to employee relations issues and employee engagement efforts and projects in support of a high performance workplace. Internal and external contacts often pertain to significant employee relations programs and objectives. Advises supervisors regarding employee performance management and corrective actions, including discipline and dismissal actions, conduct of investigations and management of complaints and grievances. Normally, works on assignments with limited oversight. Works on employee and labor relations matters that are the diverse and complex in scope and where analysis of data and situations requires evaluation of many factors and implications with broad impact on the organization. **This position is designated as a Career Ladder recruitment, which means the hiring department can recruit and fill this role at different levels within the position classification series. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $135,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time.
