The Semel Institute is seeking a motivated Student Researcher interested in gaining hands-on experience in a human genetics laboratory focused on the study of neurobehavioral traits and neurodevelopmental disorders. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity for students to build foundational research skills, contribute to ongoing studies, and learn from an interdisciplinary research team in an academic research setting.
This position is ideally suited for students with Work-Study eligibility.
Hourly range: $17.90-$47.00
Required:
- At least sophomore standing in the life sciences at an accredited four-year college.
- Registered UCLA student
- Ability to communicate well and follow instructions.
- Ability to perform simple chemical calculations such as molarities and percentage.
- Ability to handle repetitive tasks.
- Organization skills
- Detail-oriented
- Experience with pipetting
