You will perform basic and complex MR imaging procedures as well as post-processing responsibilities. This will require an in-depth understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and medical terminology. You will be required to maintain a high degree of accuracy in patient positioning and image acquisition/formation. You will also need to apply your knowledge of magnetic field safety and properly screen all patients and visitors prior to admittance into the MR magnet room. You will:
* Ensure accurate processing of radiology orders
* Maintain accurate up-to-date records of procedures performed
* Operate a variety of post-processing/3D workstations
* Perform accurate image archival
* Prepare and administer paramagnetic contrast media
* Sensitively handle physical and emotional needs of the patient
Salary range: $50.66 - $66.85 Hourly
Qualifications* 3 or more years of MRI experience - required
* BCLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross - required
* CRT or ARMRIT certificate - required
* Venipuncture certificate - required
* Graduate from a AMA Radiologic Technologist Program - required
* ARRT, MR certificate - preferred
* AA or BS - preferred
* Siemens experience - preferred
* Ability to adapt to advancements and changing technologies
* Ability to identify contraindications for exams
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and independent decision-making skills
* Familiarity with clinical billing (IDX codes)
* Knowledge of human anatomy and pathology
* Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities
