The Department of Radiological Sciences, University of California, Irvine, anticipates openings for non-senate, academic term appointments as Junior Specialist or Assistant Specialist.
The position involves research investigation in the areas of cardiovascular and dual energy CT. Research in this laboratory focuses on applications of medical x-ray imaging for cardiovascular disease and cancer diagnosis. Applicants with a broad background in medical physics, physics, or electrical engineering is preferred.
Those who possess a strong motivation to pursue an academic medical physics career are encouraged to apply. Strong background in physics, mathematics and software or hardware development skills are essential for this research. Also, the ability to communicate both verbally and in written format is important. Irvine is located in beautiful, sunny Southern California.
