Position Summary:

The Manager, Laboratory Servicesisresponsiblefortheoperationalleadership,technicaloversight, anddailysupervisionofassignedlaboratoryfunctionswithintheirdesignateddivisionorunit. Theincumbentisaccountableforalltechnical,administrative, andsupervisoryactivitieswithintheassignedarea,ensuringlaboratoryservicesareperformedaccurately,efficiently, and inaccordancewithregulatory,accreditation, and healthsystemstandards.Thisrolemaintainsresponsibilityfortheplanning,coordination, andevaluationoflaboratoryoperationswithintheassigneddivision,includingunitsof ahighlyspecializedortechnicallycomplexnature,aswellasdepartmentswithmulti-shiftoperations.Thispositioncollaborateswithclinical,administrative, andoperationalleadership to supportqualityimprovementinitiatives,workforcedevelopment, and theachievementofdepartmentalperformancegoals. The Managerworksunderthedirectionofseniorlaboratoryleadership,receivingperiodicguidanceandfeedbackwhileexercisingindependentjudgmentinmanagingday-to-daydepartmentaloperations,staffing, and theexecutionofestablishedlaboratoryobjectives.

RequiredQualifications:

• QualificationasatechnicalsupervisorunderCLIA (ClinicalLaboratoryImprovementAct)

• Mustpossesstheskill,knowledgeandabilityessentialto thesuccessfulperformanceofassignedduties

• Mustdemonstratecustomerserviceskillsappropriateto thejob

• Mustbewillingtotestifyincourtregardingtestingactivitiesifsubpoenaed

• Oneyearof management experiencewithinacomplexhealthcaresetting.

• Excellentwrittenandverbalcommunicationskillsin English

• Current CALicenseorCertification

• CAClinicalLaboratory Scientist (CLS)orCertificationinAnatomicPathology

• Bachelor'sdegreein a scienceorhealthcarerelatedfield

• Abilitytomaintaina workpaceappropriateto theworkload

PreferredQualifications:

• Master'sDegreein arelatedfield

• Management experience inanacademic/laboratorysetting.
