This role is designed to expand access to high-quality behavioral health care by providing direct patient care to pediatric and adolescent populations in an inpatient setting. The position plays a critical role in supporting program growth, ensuring timely access to care, and collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered treatment. The full salary range for the Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner- is $170,735.76 - $239,827.68 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. The successful candidate will be placed on the salary range based on years of experience from date of licensure in alignment with the union contract. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. This role supports clinical coverage, program launch, and operational readiness for a high-need patient population. Key Responsibilities Description Percent Time 1. Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including mental status exams, risk assessments, and diagnostic formulation. 2. Assume ongoing responsibility for assigned patients in the inpatient behavioral health setting. 3. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic psychiatric conditions, including medication management and therapeutic interventions. 4. Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. 5. Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and ensure continuity of care throughout admission. 6. Respond to patient-related communications and document all encounters in the electronic medical record. 7. Collaborate with physicians and care teams to establish care parameters and support discharge planning. 8.
