What will you be doing?
In This Role, You Will
- Teach at undergraduate and master’s level, including lectures, seminars, tutorials and computer labs.
- Act as a personal tutor, providing academic and pastoral support to students.
- Supervise undergraduate and master’s dissertations within Finance.
- Mark coursework and exams, contributing to assessment design and delivery.
- Support curriculum development and enhancement activities aligned with the School’s ambitions.
- Contribute to programme administration, including areas such as admissions, programme delivery, liaison with external examiners, and potentially leading or supporting units.
- Participate fully in School and Faculty meetings, governance and wider academic activity.
- Take a proactive approach to your own professional development.
You Are Someone Who
- Has experience teaching Finance effectively at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
- Demonstrates a proactive, student‑centred approach to teaching and learning.
- Has strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is confident using digital learning tools such as Python, SAS, Stata or similar.
- Holds (or will soon complete) a doctorate in Finance or a closely related field.
- Enjoys contributing to the wider functioning and success of the School through academic citizenship.
