The role
The University of Bristol is seeking positive and motivated Centre Assistants to join our team and support the safe operation of our Outdoor Sports Complex in Coombe Dingle.
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced leisure professionals who are passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for our community. You will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and customer experience, while upholding the University’s values and behaviours.

What will you be doing?
Responsibilities include customer supervision, cleaning of changing rooms and other areas, setting up and down sports equipment, and working from the Welcome Desk.

Work pattern: Part time - up to 15 hours available across 3 shifts
Shift pattern: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 17:30 - 22:30

Salary: £23,742 per annum pro rata

Key Responsibilities
- Working with site Supervisors to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all users
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the sports grounds, changing rooms, and Sports Pavilions
- Providing professional and friendly support at the welcome desk
- Contributing to an effective site rota to ensure consistent and safe operations
- Have experience working or in leisure or have a passion for the leisure environment
- Customer-focused with a positive, proactive, and problem-solving approach
- Strong team players with excellent communication skills
- Committed to delivering a safe, inclusive, and high-quality experience for all users
