The role
Bristol Veterinary School is looking to recruit a pathologist with vision and commitment to drive veterinary pathology research and teaching for the 21st century.
The role is advertised from Lecturer (Grade J or K) to Senior Lecturer (Grade L) level, as an open-ended post and offered on our Education and Teaching (Pathway 3) academic tracks. The role is a full-time position, however part-time appointment(s) would also be considered.
Hybrid working is available but is based on teaching commitments.
What will you be doing?
You will join the existing Veterinary Pathology Unit, contributing to, and lead aspects of, the teaching of veterinary pathology, with opportunities to support wider aspects of the clinical and professional curriculum and educational research.
The role will involve didactic and practical teaching of veterinary pathology to undergraduate and postgraduate veterinary students and will contribute to the provision of the school’s post-mortem service, with particular reference to companion animals including cats, dogs and horses

You should apply if
- You have a veterinary qualification that can be registered with the RCVS, and either current board status in veterinary pathology (Dip ECVP, Dip ACVP, FRCPath or FACVSc) or eligibility to gain board status in anatomic pathology.
- You can demonstrate experience of, and a commitment to, training the next generation of veterinary surgeons.
- You have experience of working and teaching in an academic and/or practice environment.
