The ideal candidate for the full-time faculty position must be an experienced, skilled mechanic/technician with one of the following:
- a formal education equivalent to a baccalaureate degree with two years diesel experience.
- a high school diploma or equivalent with five years' experience in diesel technology that includes at least one year of advanced training.
- a high school diploma or equivalent with six years' experience.
- Commercial Driver's License
Work experience with diesel engines including but not limited to Cummins, Cat, Detroit, International, and John Deere; and experience with trucks including International, Freightliner, Mack, Kenworth, Peterbilt, etc. is preferred; possess specialized computer engine diagnostics, hydraulics, and electrical systems with the ability to read and comprehend schematics; working knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer skills.
