Summary Of Job Duties
The Research Associate II contribute in the effort to further the mission of UAMS: To improve the health and health care of Arkansans. This Research Associate II will work in the Department of Family and Preventative Medicine, Research and Evaluation Division and is responsible for advancing the work of project deliverables in an early childhood education professional development grants. This will also include executing training protocols for digital delivery of learning to early childhood educators. The position will report to the Assistant Director of Research and Principal Investigator(s). The Research Associate II may promote project activities in the community, engage stakeholders to understand the impact of the project work, adapt project-specific trainings for unique audiences, and deliver training to early childhood educators. Some travel within state is required.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, social work, or related field plus six (6) years of research experience or
- High School diploma/GED plus ten (10) years of research experience required.
- Arkansas Driver's License and ability to travel within AR and outside for training and project meetings as needed.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
- Must know Docebo learning management software.
- Basic graphic design and course animation.
- WordPress web design.
- 2 or more years in learning activity design for adult learners; both asynchronous and synchronous digital/virtual learning.
- Basic HTML, Intermediate or proficient skills in animation and course design programs.
- SMS text campaign experience.
- Basic to intermediate graphic design skills.
- Learning course content creation for adult learners.
Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain and deploy content for adult learners across multiple platforms and for multiple grants and contracts.
- Establish quality control and security protocols.
- Develops, implements, and manages data collection within the systems and creates reports for project Director/Principal Investigator, evaluator, and funding agencies. The position must have knowledge of early childhood development in order to create and edit content for the target audience.
- Develops, maintains, and manages new and existing project/research trainings and establishes quality control and security protocols.
- Assists the Principal Investigator (PI) with intervention development based on research literature and evaluation findings aimed at improving adoption, implementation and sustainability with fidelity of the training in community based early childhood settings.
- Develops reports for the Project Director, Evaluator, and the project funders.
- Advises the PI regarding technology problems and resolutions.
- Serves as liaison with outside software vendors on all issues regarding the learning management platforms.
- Makes necessary independent decisions related to technology systems.
- Exhibits a high level of problem-solving ability, responsibility, integrity and independence, due to the nature of the work, and the responsibility to deliver synchronous and asynchronous digital learning.
- Assists with coordination/liaison with the PI, independent evaluator(s), research assistants and community partners (practitioners and state agencies) and utilizes evaluation feedback to make recommendations to the PI to refine the intervention.
- Develops project-specific training materials and processes for use on-line or via face-to-face trainings in locations across the state.
- Assists with ongoing problem-solving for community-based learners/clients, and develops and adapts live training sessions for target audiences.
- Delivers training sessions for conferences or virtual presentations as needed to achieve project goals.
- Serves as member of project management teams and attends project, interagency and other meetings to coordinate and resolve issues regarding learning systems management.
- Communicates and works with a diverse range of project and provider staff members professionally.
- Compiles data and preparing reports.
- Requests quotes/bids for learning management digital platforms.
- Maintains systems within annual budgets.
- Ensures purchasing expenses are submitted to departmental personnel according to UAMS standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
