Department: ICE | IGSL General Diagnostics IOP C Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: ** Shift - Tuesday-Friday 1:30 p.m.- 12 a.m.** Diagnostic Radiology Technologists produce radiographic images for medical interpretation, interact with all healthcare staff, many clerical staff members, all patient care departments, and with patients' families and visitors. This position is held accountable for performing the correct radiologic exams and producing high-quality images while supervising others. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Associates - Graduate of an approved Radiology program Registered or eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Licensed by the State of Arkansas in Radiology Technology Additional Information: Responsibilities: Operates and positions radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images of the body, following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety. Prepares patients for radiologic procedures by escorting patients to x-ray rooms, providing verbal instructions, and assisting patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed; Explains procedures and observes patients to ensure patient care, safety, and comfort during the scan. Serves as a back-up for clinical team members, as needed, by controlling patient flow and triaging. Maintains working order of radiologic equipment, including reporting equipment malfunctions and scheduling regular maintenance. Reviews patient records and imports external images into the picture archiving and communication system (PACS). Performs other duties as assigned.
