Summary of Job Duties:
*This position is located in Northwest, Arkansas*The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Nursing (CON) is seeking a dedicated and experienced nursing faculty member to join our team. This position will primarily support teaching responsibilities within the concept-based Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program in Northwest Arkansas. The faculty member will also contribute to the scholarship and service missions of CON. This is a full-time, 12-month faculty appointment (Tenure-track or Non-tenure track).
Qualifications:
Master’s or higher degree in nursing required.
Current unencumbered RN or advanced practice nursing license with eligibility for licensure in Arkansas.
Two (2) years of minimum teaching experience in a baccalaureate nursing program.
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctoral degree.
Experience with simulation or teaching in a concept-based curriculum.
Responsibilities:
Oversees the day-to-day activities of the program.
Provides leadership in curricular development.
Contributes to strategic planning.
Oversees program evaluation.
Contributes to student recruitment and retention efforts.
Participates in accreditation and program reports and contributes to the development of academic policies.
