Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED Plus Graduation from an accredited Medical Sonography Program.
Preferred Qualifications:
Cardiac ultrasound experience, including treadmill and pharmacologic stress testing.
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), must be registry eligible and complete registration within one year of employment.

Responsibilities:
Gather and Analyze Data.
Collects required patient data and vital signs.
Sets up for and assists the physician or licensed provider with procedures and examinations.
Sets up for, and assists with Transesophageal studies including patient monitoring and manipulation of ultrasound equipment controls.
Performs all required online and offline measurements, calculations and velocities of acquired images.
Recognizes distinct types of cardiac diseases and pathology.
Immediately reports critical findings to the reading cardiologist(s).
Contrast Administration.
Initiates IV access as needed, and according to UAMS policies and procedures.
Utilizes and administers contrast (perflutren or bubble) according to UAMS policies and procedures and documents correctly as evidenced by quarterly performance improvement data.
Documentation.
Accurately completes billing and coding information for performed procedures.
Documents in EPIC based on CNL guidelines.
Performs other duties as assigned.
