Position Summary
The Culverhouse College of Business at The University of Alabama invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant or Advanced Assistant Professor level in the Department of Management. We seek a management scholar with a research agenda that leverages advanced quantitative methods and artificial intelligence to address important questions in management. We welcome scholars who develop or apply innovative analytical approaches to advance theory and generate new insights into organizational, strategic, entrepreneurial, or behavioral phenomena. The position begins August 16, 2027.

Detailed Position Information
The Culverhouse College of Business at the University of Alabama is seeking candidates for a tenure-track Advanced Assistant or Assistant Professor position in the Department of Management. Primary duties include developing and maintaining a robust research program that results in publications in leading scholarly journals, teaching courses in our undergraduate, master's, and/or doctoral programs, and performing service activities as assigned by the Department, College, and University. Therefore, we seek candidates who demonstrate an existing (or have the potential to demonstrate a) strong research agenda, evidence of teaching effectiveness, and commitment to contributing to the College and University community. We are especially interested in candidates who see methodological innovation and AI as opportunities to extend and rethink how important management questions are studied.

Minimum Qualifications
Applications are invited from candidates who have completed their doctorate (or expect to complete their doctorate by August 16, 2027) in management or a related field from an AACSB accredited University. In addition, all applicants should have research and teaching experience commensurate with appointment as an assistant professor of management at a state flagship university.
