Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops content ideas and creates materials such as news releases, feature articles, newsletters, and promotional assets for internal and external audiences.
- Ensures clear communication of key messages while maintaining adherence to style guidelines.
- Curates and manages media lists while coordinating proactive and reactive media efforts to enhance UAB's visibility and representation across national, regional, trade, and local news outlets.
- Identifies and implements the most effective channels and distribution methods to maximize reach, engagement, and impact.
- Plans and executes PR events, including press conferences, to enhance media engagement and brand visibility.
- Represents the institution as a spokesperson, managing official communications and media relations to uphold its reputation and strategic messaging.
- Collaborates within the PR team to manage sensitive issues, facilitating and coordinating effective internal and external communications during crises and emergencies.
- Coordinates with Marketing and Communications teams and key stakeholders to ensure alignment between central and distributed PR efforts with institutional messaging and objectives.
- Compiles and analyzes relevant data to generate reports while staying informed on current trends and developments in the field.
- Perform other duties as assigned
