Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design and carry out molecular genetics experiments.
- Design and carry out lifespan studies and genetic crosses.
- Manage the Riddle lab's Drosophila stock collection.
- Coordinate and supervise the training of undergraduate students.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of molecular genetics and genetics
- Ability to read and summarize primary research literature in related fields required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in sample collection and recordkeeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and under supervision.
- Familiarity with safe laboratory practices.
- At least 1 year of experience in laboratory research.
