The University at Buffalo's Registrar’s Office seeks to hire a dynamic, detail-driven Student Solutions and Transcripts and Certification Specialist that is committed to delivering exceptional, student-centered service. The Specialist will need to understand and enforce academic policies while maintaining data in the student information system (HUB) and troubleshooting issues that arise. The Specialist is responsible for overseeing and continuously assessing and improving key processes under their purview, while also providing customer service in person and via phone and email. This position reports to the Student Solutions Specialist and Transcripts Lead.
Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities
The Office of the Registrar serves as the home for student academic records and related services. We preserve the integrity of the academic record and student data while providing high quality, student-centered services. We collaborate with others across the university to support the attainment of related university goals. We are a smart, innovative team of nearly 30 which seeks to regularly improve the student and faculty services that we provide. Our office is a supportive and collaborative environment where we value and respect one another, and foster enjoyment of and pride in our work. There are many opportunities for professional development and participation on working groups and committees, as well as office activities and events. Our open office is the spacious former home of an undergraduate library, and our building shares a footprint with a food court and grocery store, as well as outdoor spaces and walking paths.

- Processing and continuous improvement of the licensures and certification process
- Transcripts processing
- Transcripts Parchment customer service and troubleshooting
- Contribute to student success and retention by providing excellent customer service in person in 1Capen as well as via phone and email
- Maintain and update historical student records
- Perform testing and validation associated with system upgrades and enhancements
