What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate/Full Professor, Pharmaceutical Sciences position at University at Buffalo?
The University at Buffalo (UB) School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPPS) is seeking a tenure track faculty member at the associate or full professor level to expand the UB Drug Discovery, Development, and Evaluation Hub (DDDE). This research hub provides leadership and creative approaches to support core innovations in drug discovery/development as well as the development of a translational therapeutic core to support clinical pharmacology, policy development and evaluative clinical sciences.
Research Specialty/focus Areas
Appointment in these positions will be at an academic rank commensurate with experience.
Scholarship/Research Responsibilities
Faculty members will develop a sustainable, funded program of research in the relevant area of expertise. Collaborative scholarship is strongly encouraged among faculty colleagues within the school and across the university.
Teaching Responsibilities
Faculty members will contribute to one or more of the school’s degree programs (PharmD, Ph.D., MS, or BS) based on area of specialization and alignment with course delivery needs.
Service Responsibilities
Service activities include service to the Department, School, and University (i.e., through active participation on committees), as agreed to with the Chair and Division Head (Drug and Biotherapeutic Discovery).
