Consultant –Dynamics 365 Business Central and M365 CoPilot
Remote | U.S. | Full-Time
Make a real impact.
At UniverseIT, we're small enough that the work you do shows up directly in client outcomes. We're looking for a hands-on Business Central consultant who wants to deliver work that sticks—and who's excited to help clients adopt Microsoft 365 Copilot alongside their ERP. You'll work close to the business, close to the client, and close to the results.
We help organizations get the most out of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and the Power Platform—delivering ERP and AI solutions that actually stick. We lead with our values: do the right thing, always add value, think team, love what you do, and embrace learning.
What You'll Own
- Deliver full-cycle Business Central implementations—from discovery and fit-gap through configuration, data migration, training, and go-live—across finance, distribution, and manufacturing clients.
- Deploy and support Copilot solutions—Microsoft 365 Copilot rollouts, Copilot Studio agents, and AI-assisted workflows—helping clients put them to real use and drive adoption.
- Serve as a trusted functional resource on engagements—the person controllers, ops leaders, and end users can count on for a straight answer.
- Translate accounting and operational requirements into BC configuration: chart of accounts design, dimension strategy, posting setups, costing methods, and reporting structures that hold up at month-end.
- Run client workshops and requirements sessions with confidence—comfortable talking finance in one breath and ERP setup in the next.
- Partner with AL developers on customizations: scope the work, review the functional design, and catch gaps before UAT does. You don't need to write the extension, but you should know when to extend versus configure.
- Support data migration strategy and execution (RapidStart, Configuration Packages, or third-party tools).
What You Bring
- 5 years implementing Dynamics 365 Business Central in a functional role, with solid breadth across GL, AR, AP, cash management, inventory, purchasing, and sales.
- A strong accounting foundation—you understand month-end close, dimensions, and inventory basics from having worked with them, not just from a manual.
- Practical experience deploying Copilot—Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, or AI-driven workflows—in real client environments.
- Comfort partnering with AL developers: scoping customizations and reviewing functional specs.
- Working knowledge of BC architecture—environments, sandboxes, extensions, upgrade paths, and the SaaS operating model.
- The communication range to talk debits with a controller and outcomes with a business owner—and know which the moment calls for.
- Available during U.S. Central Time business hours.
Bonus Points For
- Prior in-house finance or accounting experience before moving into consulting.
- Microsoft certifications in Business Central (MB-800) or Copilot / Power Platform.
- Experience integrating BC with Dataverse, Dynamics 365 Sales/CE, and Power Platform.
- Familiarity with common BC ISVs—Continia, Solver, Jet Reports, Insight Works, Binary Stream, etc.
- NAV-to-BC SaaS migration experience.
- Power BI reporting against BC data, including the BC standard datasets and custom API pages.
Why UniverseIT

- Clients you'd actually be proud to name.
