Logistics Specialist

Universal Traffic Service, West Michigan's leading transportation management service provider and freight broker, is currently adding positions at our at Corporate office in Grand Rapids Michigan. As a Logistics Specialist you will work directly with our clients and carriers managing transportation within the state, the Midwest and across the country. The environment is fast-paced and challenging.

Excellent communication and customer service skills are needed, but previous transportation experience is encouraged but not required.

The scope of this position includes:

· Working in our Transportation Management System

· Taking inbound and making outbound phone calls to and from clients, carriers, and vendors.

· Problem solving when working with clients and carriers

What you’ll do on a typical day:

· Serve as an advocate and liaison for clients to ensure overall customer satisfaction· Maintain a strong understanding of the industry and client needs

· Ensure the integrity of the shipment by following processes and procedures

· Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters.

· Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.

· Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.

· Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Starting at $46,500 plus company wide profit sharing, employee stock opportunities and $250 per month if you opt out of health benefits.

If you have call center background, that can be helpful. Familiarity with transportation terminology will make your learning easier as well. Less Than Truckload, Truckload and 3PL knowledge is a plus.
