Windows Server Admin

UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Windows Server Admin for an onsite role in Brooklyn, NY or within the 5 boroughs to support enterprise web application deployments and data center migration initiatives. This role requires strong expertise in Windows Server administration, IIS configuration, network integration, and post-migration support within complex enterprise environments.

MANDATORY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in enterprise systems administration with strong hands-on expertise in:
• Windows Server (2016/2019/2022/2025)
• DNS and TCP/IP networking fundamentals
• IIS web server configuration and support
• Minimum of 4 years of experience supporting data center migration or infrastructure modernization initiatives
• Minimum of 4 years of experience providing post-migration (Hyper Care) support for Windows servers and applications, including user support
• Minimum of 4 years of experience configuring and troubleshooting web traffic using IIS and reverse proxy/load balancer technologies

SCOPE OF SERVICES

• Install and configure prerequisite software required for web application functionality
• Configure, harden, and validate web server (IIS) environments to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security
• Support network and security integration, including firewall request creation, DNS configuration, and load balancing setup for high availability
• Implement and configure backup and disaster recovery solutions, including installation of backup agents and execution of restore testing to validate data integrity
• Conduct pre-production validation, including system testing, issue resolution, and final configuration readiness prior to production deployment
• Configure and troubleshoot IIS-based web applications, including integration with reverse proxy and load balancing solutions
• Support end-to-end migration activities for Windows-based web applications and infrastructure
• Provide post-migration Hyper Care support, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, and stabilization of web and application environments
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams to ensure seamless deployment and integration across environments
• Maintain documentation, configurations, and operational procedures to support ongoing system management
