UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Security Verification & Validation Architect for an onsite role in Brooklyn, NY or within the 5 boroughs to lead the design and execution of enterprise security validation frameworks supporting large-scale data center migration initiatives. This role is responsible for establishing a Security Verification and Validation Program (SVVP), ensuring all security controls are consistently tested, validated, and aligned with regulatory and compliance standards.

MANDATORY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 7 years of cybersecurity experience
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in security control validation, testing, design, and operational readiness
- Minimum of 7 years of experience supporting infrastructure and data center migration initiatives
- Minimum of 7 years of experience conducting vulnerability assessments
- Minimum of 7 years of experience documenting security validation procedures and frameworks
- Minimum of 5 years of experience developing security patterns and frameworks
- Minimum of 7 years of experience supporting SOC 2 Type audits and compliance initiatives
SCOPE OF SERVICES
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of the Security Verification and Validation Program (SVVP) across the organization
- Develop and structure the SVVP framework to evaluate security controls throughout all phases of the migration lifecycle
- Establish standardized validation processes, tools, and governance models to ensure consistent security control testing
- Define guidelines to ensure all verification and validation activities align with city, state, and federal security standards
- Identify and classify critical data assets, including categorization of data sensitivity across all applications
- Incorporate SOC 2 Trust Service Criteria (security, availability, confidentiality, processing integrity, privacy) into validation processes
- Design and implement remediation and action plans to address SOC 2 compliance gaps
- Develop and enforce security validation protocols for network security, data protection, access controls, and incident response
- Identify vulnerabilities and define mitigation strategies across all migration phases
- Execute the SVVP validation plan, ensuring checkpoints are established across planning, design, implementation, testing, and operational readiness stages
- Monitor and validate security controls continuously to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure secure, compliant, and resilient system deployments
