USGA is seeking professional and dependable Armed Security Officers to provide security and park control services at four parking garages in Asheville, NC.

Officers will maintain a visible security presence, monitor assigned areas, assist visitors, conduct regular patrols, and respond appropriately to security concerns and incidents.

Available Shifts:

• 6:00 AM–2:00 PM
• 2:00 PM–10:00 PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide professional armed security services at assigned parking garages.
• Maintain a visible security presence throughout assigned areas.
• Monitor and patrol parking facilities to help prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and parking areas.
• Observe and report suspicious or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a professional and appropriate manner.
• Assist customers, visitors, and members of the public with questions or concerns.
• Enforce access control and facility security procedures.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and CCTV systems when applicable.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Document and report security incidents promptly and accurately.
• Contact and cooperate with law enforcement or emergency personnel when necessary.
• Follow all USGA policies, post orders, and applicable PPSB requirements.
• Maintain a professional, courteous, and alert demeanor at all times.
• Safely and responsibly carry and handle a firearm in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Clean driving record required.
• Valid North Carolina Armed Security Guard License required.
• Required firearms qualification/training and credentials must be current and valid.
• Ability to successfully complete all required security and firearms training.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable and dependable attendance.
• Ability to remain alert and respond appropriately to security situations.
• Ability to work independently and follow post orders and instructions.

Preferred:

• 2 years of security experience.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in parking facilities, public spaces, or similar environments.
• Experience with surveillance or CCTV systems.
• Previous armed security experience.
