What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internal Medicine Physician position at Universal Rehabilitation Institute?
We are looking for a part-time Internal Medicine Physician who is available 1-2 days per week 10a-3p. Preferably, one year of experience working with adults with Traumatic Brain Injuries and/or Developmental Disabilities, English speaking required.
- Serve as a primary care physician within our Medical Department and assume responsibility for the provision and documentation of medical care to the 150 residential clients served.
- Conduct comprehensive histories and physicals on new and current clients.
- Refill prescriptions.
- Evaluate findings and provide appropriate patient care.
- Assist in the monitoring of specialist services and ancillary products or services.
- Provide quality clinical diagnostic skills in the delivery of patient care.
- Review all test results and recommend suitable management for the patient, including but not limited to, preventive health recommendations and habits.
- Provide relationship-centered care, taking into account the patient’s psychosocial and physical needs.
- Complete and ensure accuracy of patient medical record.
- Communicate effectively with the clinical team to insure total delivery of quality care.
