This position is responsible for providing hardware, software, application, and various IT support needs to the organization and employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware issues. Onsite trainings provided
- Support Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other IT needs. Onsite training provided
- Provide IT help desk support by taking telephone calls, email inquiries, and IT service desk support tickets. Assists with troubleshooting IT hardware, computer, and EHR issues/problems for proper resolutions
- Respond to IT service desk issues and requests in a timely manner
- Provides support and works directly with IT Manager and HER Specialist
- Establish new users, manage access levels, and reset passwords to the network and eClinicalWorks
- Provides training to end users on hardware, EHR, IT related applications, and telecom systems (computer use, eClinicalWorks, emails, phones & phone systems, etc.)
- Work professionally with team members and outside vendors
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s degree in an IT related field is required
- Minimum of two (2) years IT experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field is preferred
- CompTIA A certification preferred
- CompTIA Network certification preferred
- Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) preferred
- Knowledge of eClinicalWorks EHR preferred
- Must possess problem solving, written and oral communication, and time management skills
- Must possess teamwork and interpersonal skills
Universal Primary Care is seeking an on-site IT Support Specialist (this position is NOT remote) to provide day-to-day technology support across our six healthcare locations and approximately 125 employees. This position serves as a key resource for end-user technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining reliable IT operations, and assisting employees with our Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other clinical and business systems.
The IT Support Specialist will also assist with system reporting, data requests, and technology-related projects that support efficient clinic operations and quality patient care. Experience with healthcare IT or EHR systems is preferred, and SQL reporting experience is a plus.
We are looking for someone who is responsive, approachable, organized, and comfortable supporting employees with varying levels of technical experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
