Job Title: Business Unit Manager – Cut & Sew Department: Management

Reports to: Site VP/General Manager

Job Summary:

Responsible for the full scope of the industrial cut and sew product line for Universal Plastics, Corp.

Responsibilities include set-up and running of manufacturing line, cost control & profitability, labor selection, training and supervision, quality, on time delivery, inventory and customer management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Manufacturing Direct Labor

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Scoping, set-up, equipment sourcing for dedicated focused factory

· Breakdown of Customer drawings into Bill of Manufacture

· Hiring and training of direct labor

· Managing day to day operations of a $3 million business

Required Skills/Abilities:

· 4 years progressive work experience in an industrial cut and sew manufacturing setting.

· Experience programming and running CNC textile cutting equipment

· Experience with RF hem pressing equipment

· Experience with single and twin needle sewing

· Experience working inside a ISO 9001 quality system

· Reading and transposing customer drawings into bills of manufacture

· Industrial grade textile sourcing and material management experience

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Nice to have:

· Textile Engineering degree or background

· Cut and sew room management experience.

Starting pay range: $60-$95k depending on experience and results.
