The Ridge Behavioral Health System is a 110-bed hospitallocatedin the heart of the Bluegrass, Lexington, KY. The Ridge provides psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. The Ridge offers Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Individual Counseling, as well as Medication Management for all ages. We have provided behavioral health services to over 92 Kentucky counties for more than 39 years.

Mental Health Technicians provide routine non-acute physical care for the patient as well as educational groups based on needsidentifiedin the Master Treatment Plan.

JobDuties Include:

• Assistin organizing recreational therapy sessions to interact with patients and offer recommendations for physical and mental wellness.

• Assistinmaintaininghigh quality documentation of all therapy services consistent with thehospitals'policies.

• Assistin ensuring treatment plans are suitable for patients' physical condition and arein accordance withthe hospital policies and the patients' preferences.

Education

• High School Diploma or GEDrequired.

• Somecollege course workpreferred.

Experience

• Experience maybe acceptedin lieu of college course work.

Other Skills

• Mustdemonstratebasic knowledge of emotional and mental health and disease concepts including the disease of addiction.

• Must have clear communication / interaction skills anddemonstratecompetency infacilitatingpsycho-education groups.
