The Ridge Behavioral Health System is a 110-bed hospital located in the heart of the Bluegrass, Lexington, KY. The Ridge provides psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. The Ridge offers Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Individual Counseling, as well as Medication Management for all ages. We have provided behavioral health services to over 92 Kentucky counties for more than 39 years.
Mental Health Technicians provide routine non-acute physical care for the patient as well as educational groups based on needs identified in the Master Treatment Plan.
Job Duties Include:
- Assist in organizing recreational therapy sessions to interact with patients and offer recommendations for physical and mental wellness.
- Assist in maintaining high quality documentation of all therapy services consistent with the hospitals’ policies.
- Assist in ensuring treatment plans are suitable for patients’ physical condition and are in accordance with the hospital policies and the patients’ preferences.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Some college course work preferred.
- Experience may be accepted in lieu of college course work.
- Must demonstrate basic knowledge of emotional and mental health and disease concepts including the disease of addiction.
- Must have clear communication / interaction skills and demonstrate competency in facilitating psycho-education groups.
