Job Summary
The Director, Talent & Culture will provide strategic and operational HR leadership for Universal Creative’s project-based organization launching in the U.S. and expanding globally. This leader will establish and execute people strategies that enable creative excellence, operational readiness, and cultural consistency across multiple geographies.
The role requires deep knowledge of U.S. and U.K. employment compliance, strong project management capability, and a start-up, results-driven mindset. This individual will lead a small, agile HR team supporting both domestic and international operations and will partner closely with the Global Mobility and Compensation teams to ensure talent competitiveness and seamless expat transitions.
This role is based in Orlando, FL; with potential for a transition to a UK expat assignment (min 2 yrs).
Major Responsibilities
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required. Master’s degree or CIPD qualification a plus.
Experience
10 years of progressive HR leadership experience in creative, entertainment, or project-based organizations. Experience with international HR—specifically U.K. employment practices—required. Proficiency in workforce planning, data analysis, project management, and Microsoft Excel essential.

Major Responsibilities
- Lead development and execution of the HR strategy for the Creative Projects Division, aligning people priorities with business timelines and creative deliverables.
- Partner with business leaders to design organization structures, workforce plans, and staffing models to meet project and expansion goals.
- Oversee compliance and employee relations across U.S. and U.K. operations. Ensure HR policies, practices, and procedures align with both legal standards and company culture.
- Collaborate with Global Mobility on expatriate planning, relocation logistics, and compliance for international assignments. Partner with Compensation to maintain competitiveness in multiple labor markets.
- Lead and develop a small HR team (2–3 direct reports) across domestic and international locations. Foster collaboration, capability building, and accountability.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and other HR Centers of Excellence to deliver consistent and impactful people programs.
- Drive employee engagement, internal communication, and culture alignment initiatives across the division.
- Model a nimble, “start-up” approach to HR—balancing structure and flexibility while ensuring operational excellence.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supervises an Exempt team
- Directly supervises 2–3 HR professionals located in the U.S. and U.K.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Highly complex work; requires strong strategic judgment, cultural agility, and the ability to operate across multiple business lines and geographies.
- Deep understanding of both U.S. and U.K. employment law and compliance.
- Experience working in matrixed, multinational organizations.
- Strong analytical, project management, and workforce planning skills.
- Skilled in HRIS systems, Excel, and data-driven decision making.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change across diverse stakeholders.
- High level of discretion, judgment, and business acumen.
