About the Role
Universal Cabinet Design is seeking a skilled and dependable Field Service Associate / Installer to join our growing team. This role is central to ensuring that our kitchen projects are installed efficiently, professionally, and in accordance with approved designs. While most installations occur in the Lakewood area, occasional travel to NYC and nearby regions may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Install cabinetry and related components according to signed layouts provided by our design team.
- Ensure a high level of craftsmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail at every job site.
- Coordinate with the Field Service Manager for job scheduling, logistics, and any job-specific needs.
- Perform service calls on previously installed kitchens (e.g., fixing misaligned doors, adjusting hardware, etc.).
- Pick up job components or hardware as needed from our showroom or local suppliers.
- Perform field measurements for upcoming kitchen orders as directed.
- Install branded lawn signs at project locations, ensuring proper placement and visibility.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience installing kitchen cabinetry or similar woodworking experience.
- Strong understanding of cabinet installation best practices and basic construction techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret design layouts and shop drawings.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Professional demeanor and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve on the fly.
- Comfortable using power tools and other installation equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
