Burke Porter Machinery is seeking a 2md shift machine builder team lead to join their team. The team lead machine builder will be a working lead, responsible for performing skilled fitting and assembly of machined and/or purchased components involving a wide variety of hand and machine operations. The team lead will assign and delegate work effectively to ensure production schedules are being met. The team lead will ensure the proper training of new hires, participate in the interviewing process, give feedback during the performance review process, review and approve time off request as needed, and work with Human Resources on employees’ issues as needed.

Description
Burke Porter Machinery is seeking a 2md shift machine builder team lead to join their team. The team lead machine builder will be a working lead, responsible for performing skilled fitting and assembly of machined and/or purchased components involving a wide variety of hand and machine operations. The team lead will assign and delegate work effectively to ensure production schedules are being met. What You Will Be Doing
- Completing tasks according to machine blueprints, without direct supervision.
- Custom fits parts and maintains required tolerances.
- Installs conduit and complete wiring of machines.
- 5 years of machine building experience required
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience required
- Lays out and completes installation of pneumatic/hydraulic components.
- Performs custom bending of conduit and steel tubing.
- Guides Assemblers II and III through assembly procedures
- Performs skilled fitting and assembly of machined and/or purchased components involving a wide variety of hand and machine operations, without direct supervision.
- Completes tasks according to machine assembly drawings and specifications. Uses precision instruments to layout and align work.
- Requires a high level of mechanical skill and knowledge of precision inspection techniques.
