UnivEdge Consulting is hiring a Desktop Support Engineer for one of its clients in Indianapolis, IN. We are looking for a hands-on IT professional with strong desktop support, troubleshooting, and end-user support experience. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance to users, resolve hardware/software issues, and ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 desktop support to end users
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
- Support Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Manage user accounts, password resets, and access requests
- Perform software installations, upgrades, and patching
- Handle ticket management through ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar
- Assist with workstation deployments, imaging, and asset management
- Support conference room technology and audio/video equipment as needed
- Document incidents, resolutions, and technical procedures
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate support teams
Required Skills
- 2 years of Desktop Support / IT Support experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows 10/11 environments
- Experience with Active Directory and user administration
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Experience with hardware break/fix and device setup
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience using ticketing systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting enterprise environments
- Knowledge of SCCM, Intune, or endpoint management tools
- Printer and peripheral support experience
- IT certifications such as A , Network , or Microsoft certifications
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred
- Equivalent work experience will also be considered
