The Pharmacy Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the pharmacy staff and coordinates the day-to-day operational aspects of pharmacy operations. This position ensures any operational issues are identified, tracked, reported on, resolved and/or escalated in a timely manner. The Pharmacy Supervisor is responsible for solving practical and strategic problems, resolving conflict and constructively leading change. This position is also responsible for the supervision and management of staff. The Pharmacy Supervisor accepts responsibility of Pharmacist-In-Charge for the pharmacy when applicable.

Responsibilities
- Oversees dispensing functions as required to ensure efficient operation of the pharmacy.
- Schedules and coordinates the needs of the pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
- Completes annual performance evaluations of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
- Coordinates, leads, and coaches the people, teams and programs within the department to accomplish the goals and objectives of the department.
- Identifies operational problems, recommends solutions, and participates in the development of new programs or the improvement of existing programs. Ensures daily operations support optimal patient care.
- Shares in staff education and training related to hospital and department policies and procedures.
- Enforces established policies and procedures and assists with developing and revising policies and procedures.
Education:
- B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
- A minimum of two years pharmacy practice or PGY1 Pharmacy Residency.
- Must be licensed or obtain licensure to practice Pharmacy in the state of IA and IL within six months of employment. Must be directly supervised by a licensed pharmacist until Pharmacist license is obtained.
- Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs. The salary range listed does not include other forms of compensation which may include bonuses/incentive, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits that may be applicable to this role.
