Electronic Billing Clerk
Community Memorial Hospital
Full-Time; 40 hours per week; M-F between 7-5:30P
The Electronic Insurance Billing Clerk is responsible for charging, billing, and working edits of an assigned section of patient accounts and to research and resubmit problem claims in a timely manner. Other responsibilities include reading all documentation regarding billing guidelines, adjusting patient charges and other duties as assigned by the Revenue Cycle Lead.

Responsibilities
- Process release of information requests
- Billing electronic and paper claims
- Review and enter charges
- Research and resubmit problem claims
- Research patient questions related to billing
- General Revenue Cycle duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Understanding the concepts, principles and practices of the revenue cycle.
- Exhibit progressive thinking towards the electronic medical record
- Adapt easily to change in job duties and work environment
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft office software
- Ability to convey positive image and communication tactfully and professionally with staff, patients and the public
- Ability to articulate hospital policy and regulations
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Preferred:
- Hospital billing experience preferred
- ICD-10 coding experience preferred
