• Well established Hospitalist program since 2006, currently includes 18 physician & 2 ARNP team
• Care team support that includes 5 dedicated hospitalist RNs for care coordination and rounding efficiency 1 CDE nurse
• Excellent multi-specialty support
• Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
• Full-time position
• Hospitalist APP schedule is Monday - Friday 8AM-5PM and some weekend hours with work from home option 7AM-10AM rounding with the Certified Diabetes Educator nurse

• Position will have a main focus on diabetes and glycemic management
• Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
• Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills

• • Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Board Certified
  • Must be experienced with Diabetes management
  • Inpatient experience as a nurse practitioner or registered nurse
  • Acute Care Nurse Practitioner preferred
  • Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
  • Eligible to work in the United States
