UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital is a 204-bed, community hospital serving the Cedar Valley. Allen Hospital is the busiest hospital in the Cedar Valley. We care for more inpatients, outpatients, emergency patients and cardiac patients than any other hospital in our 10-county service area. • Utilizes EPIC as an electronic health record both for inpatient and outpatient services.

• Clinic hours: M-F 830AM-5PM
• Full call participation, equal share nights, weekends, daytime hospital rounds
• Our board-certified cardiologists are dedicated to helping prevent, manage — and overcome — heart or vascular disease
• Heart care includes Cardiovascular and cardiothoracic Surgery
• 204 bed Hospital with well-established hospitalist team
• Excellent specialty support
• 12 Bed ICU with intensivist
• 31 Bed ED and Level 3 Trauma Center with Specially trained Physician and Nurses in providing emergency care, as well as in trauma and resuscitation.
• Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences
• Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the community
• Full-time position, including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
• 24/7 hospitalist program is responsible for adult and pediatric inpatients
• Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Cardiology
• Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of State
• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
• Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
• J-1 waiver sponsorship available
